Madhuri Dixit

Madhuri is an Indian actress who has gained fame for her role in the films Hum Aapke Haiin Koun as well as Beta Saajan. In the late 80s, she began her acting career, and was popular with the role of Tezaab which she played with veteran actor Anil Kapooor. Then, she starred alongside Aamir as part of Dil. In Mumbai, she was raised by middle class parents. At a very young stage, she was able to study dance. When she was in her early years when she started acting as a young actress, most of the films she produced weren't successful. Then she found her way to success and then was one of the most well-known actors in the Indian film business. After her wedding ceremony, she took a short time off from her acting career before returning. In recent times, she was in a prominent performance in Gulaab Gang. The film was about struggles faced by women across India. Dixit is nominated in fifteen Filmfare Awards. Of these she's received 8. Padma Shri, the fourth-highest civilian award given to civilians in India is bestowed to Dixit. The award was also given to her for her efforts in the social sector.
