Jenna Fischer's best-known role was that of Pam Beesly from the popular television show The Office. In recognition of her performance, she won an Emmy award for Outstanding Actress in the Supporting Role. In addition, she won the award for two SAG Awards.
Born in Fort Wayne Indiana, she was raised in St. Louis Missouri. Jenna watched her mom, Anne, perform in the church when she was young and was able to instill a love of performing and theater.
After wrapping up The Office, Fischer, an actress trained in theater, returned to her home base. She was a part of the Off-Broadway production Reasons to Be Happy which was written and directed by Neil LaBute and co-starring Josh Hamilton, Leslie Bibb, as well as Fred Weller. She went on to star at the premiere world-wide of Steve Martin's new show Meteor Shower, an absurdist comedy with Greg Germann as well as Josh Stamberg, for a record-breaking show on Old Globe Theatre. In the month of October, Fischer and The Office actor and friend Angela Kinsey began a podcast called Office Ladies on the Earwolf platform. It has grown to gained immense popularity, settling in the Top Ten globally every week and receiving over 200 million downloads over its initial two years. Office Ladies was awarded the iHeart Radio Podcast of the Year award in January 2021.
She's also the co-author for Office BFF's Tales of The Office The Story of Two Best Friends The Office. This autobiography is about their friendship and the work they did on The Office.
